Job description:

Our company is looking to fill a Customer service/ Billing position which requires answering and making phone calls to and from patients and physicians. Calling patients and scheduling delivery of medication or informing them to pickup their medications. Calling insurance companies to obtain prior authorization. Faxing paperwork. Checking refills. Filling out prior authorization forms for doctor to check and send to insurance company. Obtaining prior authorization over the phone from insurance companies. 

 

We are looking for a dependable Pharmacy Technician that will process and fill prescriptions. You will also undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly.

As a pharmacy technician you must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as aptitude in using computers.

 

• Greet Customers and answer their questions. Take in their insurance information and patient demographics.

• Process Prescription and with correct NDC number that we have in stock or are able to order for following day.

• Call Patients to remind them that their medication is available for pickup.

• Call Medical office for new prescription for patient who runs out of refills.

• Coordinate delivery of medication for patient if delivery is required.

• Select the appropriate medicine and measure dosages to fill prescriptions

• Sort, stock, label medication and monitor inventory

• Undertake administrative tasks (e.g.record-keeping) as assigned

• Comply with all security measures and quality standards

• Must have experience with Prime Rx Pharmacy Software

• Knowledge of medication and dosage measurement

• Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology

• Excellent communication and customer service skills

• Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate

• Outstanding organizational skills

• Reliable with a keen eye for detail

 

Qualification:

• Certified Pharmacy Technician License

• License in good standing in Nevada
